Adam Justin Lary was born in Denison, Iowa, on January 25, 1984, the son of Ron and Pat Midura Lary. He died Saturday morning March 16, 2013, at the age of 29.
Adam grew up in Dow City with his parents, receiving his education in Dow City and graduating from the Boyer Valley High School with the class of 2002. After completing his education, he began working at the Harlan Meat Processing plant for two years before taking a position at the Denison Cookers plant formerly known as Dubuque Packing. He remained there for a few years before taking a position at the Millard Warehouse in Denison where he was currently employed.
Adam was baptized as a Christian as an infant and later confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Mary Catholic Church in Dow City. In his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to music, spending time with his son and female friends, helping his dad in the garage and his mother with her house work. Additionally, he enjoyed watching wrestling on TV with his dad, playing on the computer, fishing occasionally, and swimming when he had the chance. He was a loving spirit who enjoyed socializing with his friends and family.
Adam was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Hazel and Harry Lary; and Margaret Shirk; and his grandparents: Max Lary and Gloria and Louis Midura; and one aunt, Jean Bono. Survivors include his parents, Ron and Pat Lary of Dow City; his son, Chase Brandt of Denison; his sister, Melissa Lary and her special friend, Aaron Nielsen and a niece, Hannah; all of Omaha, Nebraska; special family friend, Melissa Malone of Dow City; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends from Michigan; other relatives and friends.
