Adam Raymond, son of Kenneth and Lisa (McCollough) Nepple, was born October 13, 1987, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Ann's in Vail, Iowa. He grew up in Vail and attended Ar-We-Va Schools. Shortly thereafter, Adam made his home at New Hope Village in Carroll.
Adam lived each day to the fullest with his friendly personality and positive outlook. Life revolved around his family. First, following his sisters around the house and being included in as many of their activities and play as possible. Later on he enjoyed car rides to school with his sisters taking turns being his chauffeur. He was thrilled to get two brothers when his sisters got married. He enjoyed being able to share a pop and joke with his brother-in-laws. Adam's greatest joy was becoming an uncle. It took him a bit to warm up to the idea of sharing the spotlight, but he soon was all in. He loved being around his nieces and nephew, and together they read books, watched movies, played hide & seek and told jokes. He was always talking about them to his friends and whoever would listen. He enjoyed his freedom at New Hope and loved his New Hope family. He cherished coming home on the weekends, attending church, going out to eat, shopping, and overall visiting, talking and being a storyteller. You couldn't go anywhere without someone knowing Adam. Smiling and always happy, Adam enjoyed riding horses at Guthrie Center. Adam was in his element sitting in front of a movie, holding Ernie, eating chocolate chip cookies and drinking a Dr. Pepper.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Adam passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska after a short illness. He was 34 years, 7 months and 18 days of age.
