Alan L. Jaycox

Alan Lloyd Jaycox was born January 18, 1941 in Webster City, Iowa. He is the son of Robert and Edna Jaycox. He passed away at the age of 75, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Eventide Lutheran Home, after a battle with cancer.
Alan was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Orcutt, the daughter of Noel and Ruth Orcutt, on May 28, 1966. Out of this marriage the couple have two children: Cathy (John) and Rob (Vichit Baccam).
He received his education degree from Buena Vista College in 1965 and earned his Masters in Mathematics from LS.U. in 1972. He began his teaching career with two years at Meservey-Thornton schools from 1965-1967, then continued teaching at Denison High School from 1967- 1993.
Alan was proceeded in death by his parents; his sister Marjorie and her husband, Merlyn; his in-laws; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Donna; and two brothers-in-law, Don and Chuck. He is survived by his wife; two children; two grandchildren (Mari and Hannah); and many nieces and nephews.
