Alice Louise Brown

Alice Louise Brown was born February 29, 1932, the daughter of William and Madeline Ganoe. She died Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of eighty-two.
Alice, known to everyone as Louise, was born in Jefferson, Iowa where she received her education. On October 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Wayne Brown in Rippey, Iowa, and the couple was blessed with three sons. The couple made their home in Jefferson where Louise devoted her time to raising her family. In the early 1970's, they moved to Denison. After Wayne died, she began her employment at various businesses in Denison that included the Community Caf and Aulds Flower Shop. She also worked at Farmland Industries by providing guided tours to organizations and schools.
Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. She especially looked forward to having everyone over every Sunday and cooking for them. In her leisure time she loved to bake and cook and always looked forward to going to the Dairy Queen. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wayne in 1977; one grandson, Chad Brown in 1981; one sister; Kathryn Murphy and her husband, Richard; and two brothers: Donald and David Ganoe; Survivors include three sons: Robert and special friend, Colleen; Les and his wife, Vicky; and Randy and his wife, Sharon; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen; one brother, LaVerne; many other relatives and friends.
