Allen Roger Weinbrandt was born on August 22, 1959, the son of Roger and Lorraine (Marsh)Weinbrandt in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. He received his education from Deloit elementary and Denison High School and graduated with the class of 1977.
Allen married Rita Fink on December 7, 1985, in the chapel at Zion Lutheran Church and they had one son, Doug. Allen spent time working for a couple tire companies and a local veterinarian’s office. He made his career at Job Corps where he drove the bus for over 14 years.
He farmed alongside his father for a few years and enjoyed tending to his cattle and bailing the harvested fields. An avid shotgun deer hunter, he found peace and joy in nature. This passion extended to the dance floor, where he relished two-step dancing, a skill lovingly passed down from his parents and now shared in spirit with future generations. He also enjoyed watching westerns and listening to country music. Allen took immense pleasure in the company of his grandchildren. They are left with treasured memories of the time spent together, especially the rides on his electric wheelchair, which often ended with sweet treats, as he always had a cookie ready to spoil them. He cherished attending their various events and cheering them on.
Allen passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 65 years and ten days.
