Anna A. Harm

Anna Amelia Harm was born April 3, 1922, one of nine children, to August and Mahala Petersen. She died peacefully on June 14, 2015, at the age of ninety-three, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa, where she had resided for five years.
On June 4, 1922, Anna was baptized at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed on March 25, 1934. Anna received her education in rural schools near her home in Hanover Township. On August 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Harm at the Zion Parsonage in Denison. They made their home on the family farm in Hanover Township and were blessed with three sons. Anna’s married life was spent as a full time homemaker and wife. She was a faithful and lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, where she was active in the Ladies Aid since 1964.
Anna was a thoughtful, loving woman and enjoyed reminiscing about interesting childhood memories with her siblings growing up on the Petersen Farm, but always remained interested in what was currently happening on the farm and in the lives of her family.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wilbur; one son Russell. Survivors include two sons: Roger and his wife, Donna; Gene and his wife, Sherry; two grandsons; Craig and his wife K’Lynn, and their children; Alex and Kara; Brent and his wife Sarah, and their children Sawyer and Hildie; 2 step-grandsons; David and his sons Travis and Curtis; Jeff; one brother; Earl and his wife, Barb; two sisters; Bernice and her husband, Carl; Betty and her husband, Dennis; three sisters -in-law: Marion, Marlan; and Arlis; many other relatives and friends.
