Annabelle Ladwig was born July 31, 1944, at Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Frances Carmichael Penniman. She passed away Friday, November 29, 2019, at Hospice of the Valley - Ryan’s House in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of seventy-five.
Annabelle received her education and graduated from Lake View High School with the class of 1962. She was united in marriage to Larry Ladwig November 8, 1964, in Dow City, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in the Denison area until 1970, when they moved to Rochelle, Illinois, where Annie did in-home daycare. In 1974, they moved back to the Denison area where Annie worked at local restaurants and a nursing home. In 1985, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Annie worked as a manager at Circle K Convenience Stores and retired in 2012.
Annie was a hard worker and loved Bingo and animals. She cherished her entire family very much. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Preceding Annie in death were her parents; three sisters, Becky Wessendorf, Mary Pautsch and Alta Mae Zollman; one brother, Frank Penniman; four nephews, Michael Lee Penniman, Jesse Penniman, Jimmy and Johnny Wessendorf; three brothers-in-law, Glenn Ladwig, Gail Reis and Gene Bretey; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Helma Ladwig. Survivors include: her husband, Larry Ladwig of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Laurie Hrovat and her husband, Larry of Goodyear, Arizona; two sons, Larry Ladwig. Jr. and his wife, Patsy of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Lonnie Ladwig and his wife, Sue of Brandon, South Dakota; five grandchildren, Austin, Collin, Zachary, Allison and Vanessa; three brothers, Robert Penniman and his wife, Brigitta of Delavan, Wisconsin, Mike Penniman and his wife, Susie of Sac City, Iowa, and Fred Penniman and his wife, Merlene of Pulaski, Tennessee; five sisters-in-law, Carol Reis, Donna Ladwig, Debbie Lahlou and her husband, Adam, Judy Bretey and Marilee Ladwig; four brothers-in-law, Billy Ladwig, Gary Ladwig and his wife, Nancy, Melvin Zollman and Russ Pautsch; many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
