Annabelle Lueders was born on April 19, 1934, daughter and only child of Leonard and Beulah (Anthony) Schoessler in Carroll, Iowa. She was baptized and later confirmed her faith at St. John Evangelical Church in Westside. She received her education from Westside High School and graduated with the class of 1952.
Annabelle married Keith Conrad Lueders on April 28, 1956, at St. John Evangelical Reformed Church in Westside by Rev. Otta. In 1956, the couple moved to a farm where they could make a living and were blessed with three children: Lorna, Arlan and Alan. Working alongside her husband on the farm raising dairy cows and hogs, she also made sure her family was cared for with love, a tidy home and hot meals.
Annabelle was a member of the United Church in Westside, the United Church Women and the American Legion Auxiliary. She spent many years serving as President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Westside Cemetery. She taught Sunday school for over 10 years. Every summer she kept a flourishing garden and preserved her vegetables by canning. She also enjoyed sewing, embroidery and crocheting. She absolutely adored her family and enjoyed every second she was able to spend with them. Many have fond memories of always seeing Annabelle and Keith together, and they were part of a card club group for many years.
