Arda Lee Zoch Neddermeyer

October 3, 1930 — May 25, 2015

Arda Lee (Zoch) Neddermeyer was born October 3, 1930, the daughter of Henrik and Neva Flogstad. She died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of eighty-four.
Arda Lee was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa where she received her education, graduating from a local high school in 1949. She continued her education at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. After she and Wilbur Zoch were married in 1950, she settled in as a homemaker to her family that included 5 children. Later, she was employed at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Odebolt where she remained in their food service division for 28 years. In 1998, Arda Lee was united in marriage to Phillip Neddermeyer.
She was a hard working woman who cared for her family with devotion. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Odebolt, their Ladies Aid and a member of the PTA. In her leisure time, she enjoyed sewing and became a respected seamstress. Cooking and baking were a delight for her and was regarded in Odebolt as the “Cookie Lady.” She won an award for one of her famous cookie recipes that was the focus of an article written about her in the Odebolt Chronicle. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, canning, crafts and socializing with family and friends in a game of cards. She enjoyed watching golf and baseball on TV but Mollie Bee was also a favorite pastime listening to polka music and other ball room dancing. Her character was summed up by one of her children saying, she was a hard working lady that kept a roof over his head.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phil; one brother, Ronald. Survivors include: three sons, Lesley and his wife, Kris; Steven and his wife, Gayle; Tommy and his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Deborah and her husband, Lolane; Deniece and her husband, Lynn; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Claudia and her husband, Carrol and one sister-in-law, Norma.
