Barbara Norine Lutz was born December 14, 1942, at Adair, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Norine Hocamp. She passed away Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of seventy-five.
Barb was a 1961 graduate of Exira High School after which she was employed at the Adair Feed and Grain. She was later employed at the Dairy Mart in Denison for a short time and then was employed at Broadway Fashions in Denison for thirty years. Barb was united in marriage to Ervin Lutz October 6, 1963, and settled on a farm north of Denison and were blessed with the birth of three children.
Her favorite pastimes included going to the casino and spirited games, polka dancing, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. She was a member of Grandma Club and several monthly card clubs, playing Pinochle during the day and Euchre at night with couples. She enjoyed listening to the Polka Party on radio and watching Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and other game shows on television. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gary and Eugene; and one brother-in-law, Butch. Survivors include: her husband, Ervin; one daughter, Lori and husband,Joe; two sons, Mark and wife, Renee; and Dan; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Marna; one sister-in-law, Marilyn; other relatives and friends.
