Betty Ann Argotsinger passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born on August 13th, 1938 in Denison, Iowa, Betty was a devoted wife and mother. As a young woman, she attended beauty school and briefly operated a salon in Dow City. On March 1st, 1959, she married Eldon Nelson Argotsinger. In their 45 years together, they built a life for their three children in Omaha, Nebraska. Throughout her life, Betty was a model of independence, practicality, and humility. In her prime years she enjoyed square dancing with her husband, as well as crocheting and needlework. After her husband passed, she developed a love for game shows and card games and continued to cherish her growing family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Luella and Rudolph Malone; her husband Eldon; and her grandson Robert Drucker. She is survived by her son Eric Argotsinger; her daughters Sharon Argotsinger and Karen Tichenor (Dave); her son-in-law Bob Drucker; and her surviving grandchildren Haley Drucker (Tim Kinser), Kyle Tichenor, Michael Tichenor (Samantha), and Keith Drucker.
Although she will be deeply missed, Betty lived a full life and is now at peace. Everyone who was fortunate enough to know her will be forever marked by the legacy of love and resilience she leaves behind.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Dow City Cemetery in Dow City. Memorials may be directed to Disabled Veterans.
