Bryan T. Dalton

March 10, 1965 — August 25, 2015

Bryan Thomas Dalton was born March 10, 1965, the loving son of Thomas and Evelyn Beam Dalton. He passed away August 25, 2015 at the age of 50.
Bryan was born in Denison, Iowa and grew up on the family farm. He received his education at Ar-We-Va Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1983. Bryan was both baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Vail. After high school, Bryan worked for Bob Mathers Automotive. At the age of 19, he bought the business and was the owner/manager of Dalton Auto Center for many years. Most recently, he was employed by Repair Shop Coach, consulting and helping repair shops across the country.
Bryan was united in marriage to Cindy Voege on May 12, 1990. Bryan and Cindy made their home in Vail and were blessed with the birth of two sons, Matthew and Ryan. They celebrated 25 years of marriage together.
Bryan was a loving son, husband, and father. Words cannot express what he meant to his family. He was most proud of his sons, as they were his greatest blessing. He and Cindy avidly supported and attended all of their activities. Bryan was a “people person.” He made others feel good with his smile, wit, and sense of humor. He enjoyed helping others, had a kind heart, and was supportive of his friends and family. His family honored his wishes to be an organ donor in order to help others. In his spare time, he cherished time with his family. The Dalton family enjoyed traveling, attending Iowa State and Cubs games, and watching NASCAR and local dirt-track races – cheering on Denny Hovinga and Chad Preul. Bryan was an avid reader, a political buff, and loved going to the movies.
Bryan was an enthusiastic supporter of the Denison and Ar-We-Va communities. He served on the Denison Chamber of Commerce for several years and was elected President. He was honored as the Chamber of Commerce Boss of the Year. Bryan was an influential member of the Project Impact and Flood Committee. He served several terms on the Vail Community Club Board. Bryan was currently serving his second term on the Ar-We-Va Board of Education and was elected Vice President.
Bryan is preceded in death by his father, mother-in-law, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife Cindy; sons Matthew and Ryan; mother Evelyn; father-in-law Walt; brother-in-law Darrell and his wife Lori; sister-in-law Karen; sister-in-law Pam and her husband Ron; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
