Carol L. Woebke

Carol Lynne Woebke, 68, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away on December 30, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Kansas City.
Carol Lynne Woebke was born July 4, 1948, in Ida Grove, Iowa, daughter of Lester and Betty Weifenbach. She was baptized as an infant into the Lutheran faith and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schleswig. She was raised in the Schleswig area where she attended the Schleswig Community Schools. Carol furthered her education by attending Stewart School of Hairstyling in Sioux City, Iowa. After graduation, Carol opened her first salon in Schleswig, naming it Carol’s Cutie Cage. She later opened Cutie Cage II in Ricketts.
Carol was blessed with two children, Darren and Dorian. She raised them in the Schleswig community and lived there until she relocated to the Kansas City area, joining her children. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Blake and Autum, who stole her heart. She often said if she knew that grandkids were so much fun, she would have had them first.
Carol had an artistic ability like no other. Whether it was drawing, painting, or even hairstyling, she was definitely a detail-oriented lady – to the point that her socks and her eyeshadow had to match her shirt. She took great pride in her garden, where she spent a lot of time playing in the dirt. She said it was her therapy. She loved dancing and spent many years kicking up her heels at Denim and Diamonds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Betty; sister, Linda; and brother, Jim. Survivors include her children and grandchildren: Darren and his wife, Lori and their son, Blake; daughter, Dorian and her husband, Boyd and their daughter, Autum; two nephews, Jesse and Tyson; one aunt, Marilyn and husband Hermie; multiple cousins, and numerous friends. Carol touched each and every one she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
