Carole Jean Christiansen was born October 15, 1947, the daughter of George and Betty Comstock. She passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of sixty-seven.
Carole was born in Sioux City, Iowa, where she received her education and graduated from Riverside High School. She attended Cosmetology School in Sioux City and later returned to school at Western Iowa Tech where she received her LPN degree. She was united in marriage to Eugene Christiansen, December 19, 1988 in Elkpoint, South Dakota.
Music was very important to Carole and she was very talented, being able to play a variety of instruments, also writing music and poetry. She also loved reading, baking, canning, sewing and crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking and being crafty for all she knew, living up to the nickname of “ The McGuyver of Crafts”. Carole was very loving and compassionate, and loved working with the elderly.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Eugene; two daughters, Melonie and her husband Matt; Christine and her husband Larry; three step-children, Randy, Vicky and her husband Kenneth , and Tammy; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, George ( Sonny) and his wife Joy; many other relatives and friends.
