Carson Bradley Baer

December 31, 1996 — September 20, 2024

Carson Bradley Baer was born December 31st, 1996, the son of Dennis and Bridget Baer. He died September 20th, 2024, at his home in Johnston, Iowa, at the age of 27.

Carson was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ at the Ankeny Church of Christ, March 9th, 1997. Carson received his education in the Bondurant Farrar and the Southeast Polk School Districts. Even though he only spent his Preschool years at Bondurant, he was still one of theirs. They provided everything he needed to succeed in his education at SEP schools. He received 2 extra years of education and got to ride across the stage and receive his diploma at the age of 21. He was accepted into each class, group, and extracurricular activity that was offered to him by his peers and loved by so many. His parents will be forever grateful to each school district for the education he received. The village that provided him with his success were an amazing bunch and had influence in his day-to-day life. He even had the same bus driver for 17 years. she loved him like her own and made sure he made it to and from school every day. He loved his Becky.

Carson was cherished and loved by his parents. Their whole life revolved around him. Being special taught them so much and brought their family closer together. His smile, which lit up the room still caused them butterflies. Being the older brother Carson’s sibling Parker was his biggest protector. He was so lucky to have been taken care of by him. The bond that they shared will never be broken. He lost his best friend in 2023, his dog Sophie. She knew his routine and watched from his window. She would lay in the crook of his legs on his bed. She didn’t miss the chance of sneaking in a kiss on his lips whenever she had the opportunity. Rides on his lap was where she wanted to be.

Carson spent the last 11 months of his life in a group home Mainstream Living, where he was also accepted and loved. His caregivers did an amazing job with him. His roommates Hattie, John and Nathan were his best friends. His house was a home that anyone was invited in. Even though his time there was short, the void will never be replaced.

Carson was preceded in death by his great grandparents. He is survived by his parents Dennis and Bridget Baer of Bondurant; brother, Parker Baer of Ankeny; brother, Tyler Sheer of Musahsi-Murayama, Japan; Grandparents Roger and Marlene Baer of Schleswig; Glenn and Jerrie Wigg of Schleswig; Uncle, Danial (Jodi) Baer of Farmington MN; Aunt, Bambi (Dave) Schrader of Story City; Uncle, Brandon (Katja) Wigg of Schleswig; Uncle, Brett Wigg (Katie) of Norwalk; Cousins Matt (Chelsea), Zach (Jackie) ,Sebren, Isaac, Hanna (John), Katharina (Calvin), Paul (Madison), Anna, Max, Jakob, Rebecca, Ethan and Carter.
