Chuck Rickert

Charles Franklin Rickert was born on November 14, 1935, the son of Walter and Gertrude (Schwieso) Rickert in Crawford County, Iowa. He was baptized and later confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Chuck received his education from schools in Crawford County.

Chuck worked various jobs throughout his life, including many years over the road trucking for a number of companies and most recently as a security guard at Farmland. Chuck enjoyed watching TV and reading western books. 

 Chuck passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2024, at the Denison Care Center at the age of 88 years, nine months and 28 days.

 Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Darrell (Alice) Rickert, Kenneth (Barbara) Rickert and Joyce (Elmer) Denker; and nieces: Kathy Rickert and Lisa DeMaio. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. 

 A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Nishnabotna Cemetery near Manilla. Memorials may be directed to the family.
