Cheryl E Listamann

Cheryl Evonne Listamann was born October 22, 1931, the daughter of Emil and Blanche Bukacek Anderson. She passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa, at the age of eighty-one.
Cheryl was born on a farm near Vail, Iowa. She grew up in the Vail Presbyterian Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She was subsequently confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison where she has remained a member. She received her education in the Vail Community Schools and graduated from the Vail High School with the class of 1950.
She was united in marriage to Walter Listamann on November 30, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. The couple made their home on a farm south of Denison and were blessed with the birth of three children.
Cheryl was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, their Fellowship Club and Evening Guild. She was also a member of a Euchre Card Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who adored her granddaughter, Emily. She was a very good farm wife who enjoyed baking and cooking wonderful meals for her family. Vegetable gardening, freezing corn and tomatoes, and making excellent dill pickles was a significant part of her life. In her leisure time she enjoyed fishing, watching game shows on television, socializing with family and friends, and playing cards at Silver Ridge. She had a very warm affection for her farm cats.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; one sister-in-law, Violetta Anderson and one brother-in-law, Burdell Schmidt. Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years, Walter Listamann of Denison; two sons, Lyle Listamann and his wife, Tina of Sioux City; and Larry Listamann of Denison; one daughter, Linda DeWall and her husband, Garry of Madrid, Iowa; one granddaughter, Emily DeWall of Madrid; one brother, Virgil Anderson and his wife, Laurel of Bode, Iowa; and one sister, Alice Schmidt of Denison.
