Christen Freese

Christen Freese was born on September 23, 1952 to Haskell and Laura (Wise) Smith in Fresno, California. She married Jeffery Freese on June 22, 1999 in Denison, Iowa.

Christen loved fishing and camping. Her health declined a few years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer.

She passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, four months and 23 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Glen Allen. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Freese of Schleswig, Iowa; son, Bruce Atkinson of Ladora, Iowa; numerous siblings; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
