Connie Louise Teut

Connie passed away unexpectedly at Methodist Jennie Edmondson Hospital on September 18, 2021, at the age of 80 years, five months and six days.

Connie was born on April 12, 1941, to Harold and Selma B. (Boger) Lafrentz of Schleswig, Iowa. Connie was baptized on September 27, 1924, at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa, and confirmed on June 9, 1957, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. Connie received her elementary and high school education in Schleswig, graduating with the class of 1960.

Connie was united in marriage to Roger Teut of Schleswig on December 28, 1960, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. The couple were blessed with two children: daughter, J'Lynn, who lived for only a few hours after birth and son, Todd. Connie was involved in Teut Trucking her whole life. They had offices in Iowa, Colorado and Nebraska. She and Roger parted and Connie moved back to Schleswig, where she was employed at Wal-Mart for 25 years until retirement.

Everyone who knew Connie will remember her smile. She enjoyed people in general and she loved going to Nebraska to visit her son, Todd, daughter-in-law, Heather, and grandchildren: Hadley and Bryce. She cherished any time she could go along to a rodeo and watch them participate in different events. Connie was an avid Nebraska fan of all sports.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, J'lynn Teut; and brother-in-law, Valgene Hennings. Survivors include her son, Todd Teut and his wife, Heather of Lincoln, Nebraska; two grandchildren: Hadley Ann Teut of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Bryce Cooper Teut of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister: Madelle Hennings of Denison and Donald Lafrentz and his wife, Joy Wikieup, Arkansas; special friend of 18 years, Steve Schmidt of Schleswig; special sister friend, Wanita Friedrichsen of Odebolt; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. A private graveside service will be held at the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to her grandchildren's college fund.
