Dale A. Segebart

Dale Albert Segebart was born January 20, 1944, the son of William and Marie Segebart. He passed away July 1, 2015 at his home in Denison, Iowa at the age of seventy-one.
Dale was baptized July 9, 1944 and later confirmed March 30, 1958 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla, Iowa. Dale received his education in the Manilla Community Schools graduating with the class of 1962. After graduation, Dale farmed with his father and brother. He then worked for Farm Service Coop in Denison for several years then transferred to their office in Manilla to be co-manager, then transferred back to Denison as manager, where he retired. After retirement from Co-op, he worked for Van Diest Supply company in Harlan, Iowa until present.
Dale was united in marriage to Mary Reinke on July 26, 1964 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, and the couple was blessed with the birth of two sons. .
Dale was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He was a charter member of the Isaac Walton League and President of the Wild Rivers Archery Club. Dale’s passion for outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and camping were only riveted by his interest in archery and guns. He relished the camping, fishing and hunting trips to Spirit Lake, Coralville Reservoir, South Dakota, and Arizona. Dale loved competing in archery meets along with rifle and pistol matches. He also enjoyed sharing his talents by teaching archery classes to the youth in the area. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers Fan and enjoyed watching sporting shows and old westerns in his spare time. He and Mary loved going on Ragbrai, celebrating their 25th Anniversary during one of the rides. Dale cherished the time he spent with his kids and grandkids, and always enjoyed it when people would stop by to visit. Dale was a generous man, willing to do whatever he could for others. He loved people and it showed with the many friends and family who returned that love.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles. Survivors include: his wife, Mary of Denison; two sons: Scott and Sean; 4 grandchildren; one sister, Carol and her husband, Ron; many other relatives and friends.
