Daniel J. Kuhlmann, 60, of Charter Oak, Iowa, left this world to meet his Lord on April 26, 2016 while holding his family's hands.
Preceded in death by father, Alfred; sister, Deb Kapustensky and father-in-law, Melvin Baker. Survived by wife of 40 years, Deb; children, Cortney (Jeff) Buck, Grant; granddaughters, Addison and Finley Buck; mother, Norlene; brother, Randy (Dolores); mother-in-law, Jeanine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Dan lived a life of service, helping others whenever needed. A volunteer 4-H Leader, coach of his children's activities, church elder and trustee, community play actor, pancake-maker and he was especially busy at Christmas time fulfilling some hopeful wish lists. His passions in life included his family, Border Collies, taking care of his cattle and most importantly JOHN DEERE. He was a walking advertisement for the John Deere Company. Dan was our Mr. Fix It, jack of all trades, supportive father, loving grandfather and a loyal friend. We as a family have marveled at this man's strength, his courage, his dignity.
We share this great loss with the community and are grateful for the shoulders of friends to lean on. Dan, we are so proud of you. Thanks for everything you've given us.
