Daniel David Lueck was born August 22, 1972, the youngest son of Kenneth and Barbara Duncan Lueck. He passed away at his home on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the age of 39.
Daniel was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ on September 7, 1972 and confirmed on April 12, 1987, at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Daniel received his education in the Denison Community Schools graduating with the class of 1991. He attended college at Iowa State in Ames, Iowa, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1997. He was an electrical engineer at Tellabs in Lisle, Illinois, for four years and then for Caterpillar for the last nine years.
Daniel enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He had a generous spirit, was friendly, and could be counted on to willingly lend a helping hand to family or friends whenever they needed assistance. Daniel was a free spirit, and had a great sense of humor. He liked to watch football and basketball on television, go golfing, play tennis, and was a member of a bowling league. Daniel also enjoyed music and had recently begun taking guitar lessons.
Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harry and Elizabeth and his paternal grandfather, David. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Barbara; five brothers, Joel and his wife, Selena; William and his wife, Michele; Charles; Jay; and Thomas and his wife, Suzy; nieces, nephews, his grandmother, Ruby; other relatives and friends.
