Daniel William Feller was born December 6, 1960, at LeMars, Iowa, the son of Nicholas and Phyllis Feller. He passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, at Belmond, Iowa, as the result of a work-related accident.
He received his education at St. John’s Lutheran School in Charter Oak and Charter Oak High School. Following high school, he was employed at Dubuque Packing in Denison until it closed and then he was employed by Hartley Packing for approximately 15 years. He was currently employed as a shift manager for Maxyield Cooperative Grain Elevator in Belmond. Daniel has one son, Jason. On May 13, 1995, Daniel was united in marriage to Kimberly Pals at Belmond, Iowa. They were blessed with the birth of one daughter, Samantha.
Daniel enjoyed riding his motorcycle and his cars, especially his Camaro which was his pride and joy. He was a collector of many things including guns which he enjoyed shopping for. Football was a favorite of his, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, enjoying games on TV and taking trips to Kansas City for football games and to Sturgis for the motorcycle rally. His musical favorites were the Steve Miller Band and Pink Floyd. He was also a good cook who ate cookies and then exercised on the treadmill. His family and friends were very important to him and he loved socializing with them.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather; one brother, Nicholas; two stepbrothers, Paul and Larry; one niece, Nicole; and one nephew, Mark. Survivors include: one daughter, Samantha and her fianc Joe; one son, Jason; two grandchildren, Danielle and Kayle; one brother, Mark and his wife, Sue, three sisters, Cindy and her fiance, John, Pam and her husband, Robert, and Lisa; stepsister-in-law, Judy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
