Darlene M. Vogt

Darlene M. Vogt was born June 30, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Hertha Evers. She passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of eighty-five.
Darlene was born in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized in faith on August 28, 1930, and confirmed on March 25, 1945, at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison by Rev. Schmidt. Darlene received her elementary education in country school and graduated from the Denison High School in 1948. On March 29, 1953, Darlene was united in marriage to Ralph Vogt at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, the couple was blessed with the birth of four sons.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her grand children and great-grandchildren. She love attending all of their activities, her favorite being Charter Oak Achievement Days. She was an avid bowler, quilter and enjoyed fishing. Her deep faith in her Lord and Savior was evident in the activities she helped with at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, Iowa, including the newsletter, which she enjoyed very much. In her later years, Darlene was an active member of the Red Hat Society.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph in 2001; one sister Mardella; one brother, Derald; one niece, Sharon; three brothers-in-law: Alfred; Henry; and Delaine and his wife, Joyce. Survivors include: four sons: Dean and his wife, Gail; Burdette and his wife, Patti; Terry and wife, Leah; Kevin and his wife, Elaine; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Norma and Ardell; one sister-in-law, Pat; many other relatives and friends.
