Darold Sieck

Darold H. Sieck of Silver City, New Mexico, was born January 3, 1938, the son of Herbert Johann and Evelyn Christiansen Sieck. He entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at the age of 74.
Darold was born in Crawford County, Iowa, at the home of his grandparents, Carsten and Marie Christiansen. He graduated from Denison High School in 1956 and was active in 4-H and FFA. Darold was united in marriage to Carol Kluver on September 14, 1958.
Darold enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Darold was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carsten and Marie; and Johnn and Amanda; and his father, Herbert. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol; one son, Duane Darold and his wife, Kimberly; one daughter, Diane Carol and her husband, Jeffrey; his mother, Evelyn Staller; six grandchildren, Joshua, Rebecca and Katie; Mathew, Brandon (Katharina) and Nicole; one great grandchild, Logan James; two brothers, Willis and his wife, Linda Sue; and Dennis and his wife, Pam; two sisters, Georgene and her husband, Donald; and Linda Mary and her husband, Benton; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
