Debra K. Wight

Debra Kay Wight was born March 26, 1966, at Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Sharon Wight. She passed away Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of fifty-one.
Debra was baptized at the Methodist Church in Jefferson, Iowa, by Rev. Bissenger on Easter Sunday, March 26, 1967. She resided at the Glenwood Care Facility in Glenwood, Iowa, beginning in October of 1971, where she lived peacefully receiving the care and help she needed. She had been living at a Mosaic home in Denison since May of 1993.
Although she suffered from seizures, she had a superior pain tolerance. Debra was strong willed, innocent, resilient and strong. She didn’t show emotion except for one time during a visit by family in Glenwood and sometimes seemed to communicate through gazing into your eyes. She enjoyed watching Bewitched and drinking milk and eating Cheetos.
Survivors include: her parents, Dale and Sharon; one sister, Nancy; one brother, Michael and his wife, Lori; one niece; four nephews; one great-nephew; aunts; uncles; other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be offered to either the First United Methodist Church or Mosaic.
