Dena Marie Neddermeyer was born July 28, 1969, the daughter of Melvin and June Thompson Neddermeyer. She died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of forty.
Dena was born in Fort Carson, Colorado. She was baptized in Christ on August 31, 1969, and confirmed on May 20, 1984, both at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, Iowa. After receiving her education in the Charter Oak-Ute and Denison schools, graduating from the Charter Oak-Ute Community Schools with her brother and sister on May 18, 1989. She grew up on the farm and currently lived in Glenwood, Iowa.
She was a very special person who cared deeply for her family and friends. She would pray for everyone in the whole world and would let you know that she loved you very much. Hugs and kisses were given generously.
Dena was preceded in death by her grandparents: Adolph and Gladys Neddermeyer; and Howard and Norma Thompson. Survivors include her parents, Melvin and June Neddermeyer; one brother, Jamie Neddermeyer and his fiancee, Kim of Audubon, Iowa; two sisters: Jill Shepperd and her husband, Doug of Atlantic, Iowa; Lacy Jacobsen and her husband, Austin of Sioux City, Iowa; five nephews: Cody Neddermeyer, Isaak Kolln, Dillon and DJ Shepperd and Tyrel Jacobsen; aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.
