Dennis A. Wood

Dennis Wood was born in Dow City, Iowa, on April 12, 1946 to Lloyd and Lucille Wood. He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a former Superintendent of Schools in Iowa, served in law enforcement in Denison, Iowa, and retired from the Effingham County Board of Education as an I.S.S. teacher.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert “Robby” Wood; brothers, Lloyd “Sonny” Wood and Kenneth Wood; and sister, Edna Howard. Survivors include: his wife, Janice Wood; sons, Todd Wood of Los Angeles, Brett Wood of Savannah and Lincoln Wood of Springfield; brother, Leo “Duff” Wood of Dow City, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dick Howard of Dunlap, Iowa; and grandson, Judge Wood of Savannah.
