Dennis Wayne Lingren was born March 13, 1947, the son of Emory and Elda Clark Lingren. He passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of 65.
Dennis was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ on April 14, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Odebolt, Iowa, and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove, Iowa, on May 7, 1978. Dennis attended Odebolt Community Schools. He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Meseck in Omaha, Nebraska, on December 14, 1968. Dennis worked for AMPI hauling milk in the 70s, Crawford Elevator, Gomaco, and Jorgensen Trucking from 1976-1993, AGP from 1993-2004, and most recently at Adams Motor from 2004-2009.
Dennis was a very caring husband, father, and grandfather. He took excellent care of his cars, keeping them running well and clean. In his spare time, Dennis liked to watch John Wayne movies on television and refinish furniture. He was a NASCAR fan and also enjoyed collecting NASCAR memorabilia. The family dog, Mattie, also held a special place in his heart.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Merlyn; and two sisters, Leora and Evelyn. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three sons: Brent and his wife, Jill; Rodney and special friend, April; and Darren and his wife, Lori; three grandsons: Bryce; Skyler; and Blake; two brothers, Donald and his wife, Elaine; and Richard; three sisters: Waverlene; Jean and her husband, Mark; and Geri; one brother-in-law, Delbert; one sister-in-law, Pat; other relatives and friends.
