Diane Ransom Schloesser died Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 68 after a short illness.
Born on November 8, 1945 in Denison, Iowa, Diane was the daughter of the late Edna and Clarence Ransom. She was united in marriage to Melvin Schloesser of Vail, Iowa on May 23, 1964. After their marriage, they settled in Denison and remained there for 40 years. Together they raised five children. After Melvin’s retirement they moved to Casa Grande, Arizona.
Diane was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family meant the world to her and she thoroughly enjoyed attending school and sports activities. She loved to share their accomplishments with others.
She volunteered at St. Anthony School and St. Vincent dePaul in Casa Grande, Arizona. She never met a stranger and everyone enjoyed her company. She was a kind and giving woman and will be greatly missed.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Joseph Wolfe; brothers: Willis, Donald, Darold, Robert, Larry, Thomas, James and Dale; sisters: Norma and Darlyne; sisters-in-law: Diana and Marleen; brothers-in-law: Ronald and Marvin. Diane is survived by her husband, Melvin; their children, Sherry (Scott); Michael Smith; David (Kim); Mary (Kevin); and Cathy (Greg); fourteen grandchildren: Derek, Ashley, Hayley, Mariya, Devin, Tanner, Duncan, Parker, Alexandra, Drew, Mitchell, Daniel, Andrew and Elizabeth; eight great-grandchildren: Damien, Kylee, Maximus, Caiden, Ecko, Gunner, Zane and Avery; her siblings: Donna; Kenneth (Beulah); Carol; Janise (Glen); Marvel; Julieanna (Dennis); brothers and sisters-in-law: Carol; Martin (Kay); Madelyn; Mary (Tim); Michael; Dorothy (LeRoy); Normal; special friends: Lydia and Dennis as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
