Donald L Price

Donald Lynn Price was born June 5, 1956, the son of Herbert and Virginia Price. He died at his home in Vail, Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the age of fifty-nine.
Don was born in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota. He moved with his family to Illinois for awhile before moving to Denison where he grew up receiving his education in the Denison Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1975. After completing his education, he worked as a mechanic for Jim Hawk Chevrolet and Buick. Most recently he was a shag driver for Farmland Foods, which has become Smithfield.
Don was united in marriage to Karen Amsden on September 12, 1998. The couple lived in Denison, Manilla and Vail, Iowa. In his leisure time, Don enjoyed socializing with his family and friends with a beer or coffee, listening to country music, watching wrestling, football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, and auto races with his eyes closed. He was baptized in Christ as an infant and later confirmed in the Methodist faith.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Illene; and his wife, Karen in 2014. Survivors include his step-sons: Rob and his wife, Tami; John and his wife, Jill; and Jimmie and his wife, Michelle; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Phyllis Coats; one uncle, John; two aunts, Connie and Ruth; other relatives and friends.
