Donald Mccord

Donald G. McCord was born on December 13, 1930 in Denison, Iowa to Blair and Elizabeth Miller McCord. He had one older brother and sister.
Don lived his entire life in Denison was a member of St. Rose of Lima parish, attending St. Rose of Lima Elementary School and graduated from Denison High School. He worked in construction and later in custodial work. He was known for his good sense of humor and as a devoted caretaker of his mother. He loved going for rides through out the area in his pickup. Going to Cronks with his family members and enjoying the hot beef dinners was a highlight.
He moved to Heritage Heights in the last year and enjoyed the friends he made there and his apartment “with a view”.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Virgil and sister Vera and an infant brother Kenny.
