Donna Lee DeVolld was born January 16, 1942, in Avoca, Iowa, the daughter of John DeVolld, Sr. and Viola DeVolld. She passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the Odebolt Specialty Care in Odebolt, Iowa, at the age of seventy-eight.
Donna received her elementary education in the Ar-We-Va School District. She was baptized into Christ and later confirmed her faith April 26, 2015, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Although Donna was disabled, she was given employment opportunities through WESCO in Denison.
Coloring posters with magic markers, dining out, shopping and watching variety shows on television were her favorite activities and brought her great pleasure. She also enjoyed traveling and socializing with her family and friends. Donna was privileged to participate in The Special Olympics and took great pride in that.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Larry, Kenneth, James, John and a brother in infancy. Survivors include: four sisters: Doris, Marsha and her husband, Mike, Lila, and Denise; one brother, Max; other relatives and friends.
