Dorothy A. Hidding

Dorothy Ann Hidding was born April 15, 1937, the daughter of Virgil and Eva Reeves Branscomb. She passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of 75.
Dorothy was born in Crisfield, Kansas, and received her education in Buttons Rural School. She was united in marriage to Duane Fred Hidding on December 4, 1981, in Denison, Iowa.
Dorothy enjoyed the times she got to see her grandchildren. She also liked to be outdoors as she tended to her garden and went fishing, camping, and to the races. For fun Dorothy liked to go to the casino.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald; one sister, Inez; one son, Jackie Williams; one stepdaughter, Virginia Meester; and three brothers-in-law, Keith Macklin, Donald Smith, and Everett VanVelzer. Survivors include her husband, Duane Fred Hidding of Dow City; one daughter, Wanda DeConnick and her husband, John of Denison; three sons: LeRoy Williams and his wife, Lynn of Woodward, Iowa; Dale Williams and his wife, Cindy of Perry, Iowa; and Robert Williams of West Des Moines, Iowa; one stepdaughter: Toni Cress and her husband, Scott of Marion, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Cora Smith of Florida; Christina Macklin of Greencastle, Missouri; and Mary VanVelzer of Oregon, Illinois; and one brother, Charles Branscomb of Livonia, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
