Doug Sorensen

Douglas Eugene Sorensen was born April 29, 1965, the son of Maurice and Opal Powers Sorensen. He passed away at his home in Denison, Iowa, on May 5, 2011, at the age of forty-six. He was born in Sac City, Iowa. He received his education in the Le Mars Community Schools in Le Mars, Iowa. He was employed by Rowes Millwright Services in Le Mars, worked in construction, and in 2002, began working for Krajicek Brothers in Denison, Iowa, as a car and diesel mechanic.
He was a great father and loved to play with his sons. He also enjoyed being outside, and especially going to the races. Being under the hood of any vehicle equipped with tools in hand, made him very happy.
Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and one nephew, T.J. He is survived by three sons: Codi; Trevor and Bryce; three sisters: Kathy and her husband, Fred; Deb and her husband, Ray; and Connie and her husband, Freddie; one brother, Michael and his wife, Janet; stepmother, Donna; stepfather, Melvin; other relatives and friends.
