Dudley Gene Preul was born December 1, 1948, the son of Ardelbert and Loraine Preul. He passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of seventy.
Dudley was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ on January 2, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed there on March 22, 1964. He received his education in Charter Oak-Ute Community School and graduated from the Denison High School with the class of 1967.
He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dudley was employed at World Wide Meats and Arnie Meyers Masonry. He was involved in slow pitch softball and for many teams over the years. His favorite sports teams were the New York Yankees, Oakland Raiders and Nebraska Cornhuskers. His hobbies included billiards, swimming, fishing and hunting pheasant, quail and water fowl. He loved his dog and his 69 GTO. His leisure time included watching television shows, especially country western, sports, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right and Judge Judy.
Dudley was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one sister, Velva and husband, Merle; two nephews, Joel and Dean; one niece, Michelle; other relatives and friends.
