Earl E. Ewoldt

Earl Erlin Ewoldt of Ralston, Iowa, was born February 5, 1959, at Harlan, Iowa, the son of Erlin and Caroline Schwartz Ewoldt. He passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, at the age of fifty-eight.
Earl was baptized in Christ at Bethel Lutheran Church in Glenwood, Iowa, and received his high school education in the Denison Community Schools. He was united in marriage to Mary Bauer in December of 1983 and most recently was united in marriage to Kaelyn Farrell December 6, 2016. Earl was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for thirty-four years.
Boating, snowmobiling, bike riding, working in the yard and on cars were Earl’s favorite things to do. He was known as Ralston’s go-to guy. He enjoyed all kinds of sports especially watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers and wrestling on television. Musical favorites included southern rock and country. Earl was a good husband and father and was very close to his children and siblings.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents: twin daughters in infancy; two siblings in infancy and a brother, Howard Ewoldt. Survivors include: his wife, Kaelyn Ewoldt of Ralston, Iowa; two daughters, Crystal Creasy and husband, Jerome of Omaha, Nebraska, and Elizabeth Brittain and husband, Charlie of Audubon, Iowa; two sons, Beau Ewoldt and wife, Felicia of Des Moines, Iowa, and Jared Ewoldt of Omaha; stepdaughter, Samantha Vonnahme and her husband, Keith of Ankeny, Iowa; stepson, Hunter Guerra and wife Kristina of Rifle, Colorado; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two sisters, Adella Farley and husband, Larry, and Irene Ewoldt all of Manilla, Iowa; two brothers, Delbert Ewoldt of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Joe Ewoldt and wife, Penny of Vail, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
