Edward John Anderson Jr. born on September 6, 1938, in Vail, Iowa, the son of Edward Sr. and Margaret (Novotne) Anderson. He attended country school through the 8th Grade. Edward's faith played an important role in his life. He was baptized in Lake View in the 1950s and became an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Odebolt. His commitment to his faith provided him with strength and guidance during difficult times.
On November 8, 1960, Ed married the love of his life, Ramona Huisenga in Minnesota. They were blessed with six children and made their loving home in Odebolt. Edward’s dedication to his family was evident in everything he did; he cherished his family more than anything.
Throughout his life, Edward took on various roles and shared his talents with others. For ten years, he worked as a farmhand for Merle Quirk. He then became a milkman hauler for AMPI in Lytton for sixteen years before working as a repairman for Einspahr and Jensen Dealership in Odebolt. He also worked for Arthur Elevator and Lindberg Farms in Odebolt before finally retiring from FSC in Denison in 2000.
Ed pursued various hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a deep love for animals and enjoyed caring for them throughout his life. Gardening was another passion of his; growing flowers and occasionally grew his own vegetables. Edward valued staying informed and made it a habit to read the newspaper regularly. He also found relaxation in fishing and hunting, where he connected with nature.
