Eugene M Bair

Eugene Marion Bair was born December 3, 1964, at Monroe, Michigan, the son of John and Judith Bair. He passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at his home in Westside, Iowa, at the age of fifty-three.
Eugene was baptized in Christ and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. His father passed away when Eugene was sixteen years old. He grew up in Monroe, Michigan where he received his education and moved to Florida for a short time. He then moved to Junction City, Kansas working as a mechanic at Redd's. When he moved to Iowa in 1997 he worked as a mechanic in Carroll and over the years he became a locksmith in his spare time. He became owner and operator of his own shop a couple of years ago. He took his cars to car shows at Swan Lake.
He was united in marriage to Linda Greteman at Junction City, Kansas, August 20, 1994, and they were blessed with three children. They moved to Westside, Iowa, in 1997 where he had since resided.
Cars were his passion – whether it was restoring muscle cars, Mopar cars, or watching Nascar and Velocity shows on television. He was a volunteer with the Westside Fire Department. Eugene was in charge of fixing holiday dinners – Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthday. He enjoyed fishing, gardening of which he had two, fireworks with the kids, country and classic rock music. He was very fond of his two dogs and two cats.
Eugene was preceded in death by his father, John; one brother, John; and one sister, Leila; his in-laws, Arthur and Marilyn. Survivors include: his wife, Linda; one daughter, Tasha; two sons, Michael and Cody; his mother, Judith and her husband, Mitch; two sisters, Cheryl and Christine.
