Eva Linda Hunting was born on October 7, 1977, the daughter of Leonard and Serapia (Garcia) Rodriguez in Tulia, Texas. Eva received her education from Owatonna High School in Minnesota and graduated from Kress High School in Kress, Texas.
Eva met Charles Hunting and the couple spent many years together making precious memories until they decided to exchange vows in 2016. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and dedication.
Eva led a diverse and fulfilling career that showcased her many talents and passions. She embarked on her professional path by attending cosmetology school, where she honed her skills in beauty and self-care. Her beauty and grace also led her to captivating audiences with her presence in modeling. Eva's ambitions didn't end there; she found a deeper calling in caring for others by becoming a registered nurse at the hospital. Her compassionate nature and dedication to helping those in need left a memorable mark on her patients. Eva's nurturing spirit brought comfort to many during their times of illness and vulnerability. In yet another testament to her versatility, Eva pursued her interest in driving by obtaining her CDL to navigate the roads behind the wheel of trucks. Her determined spirit and willingness to explore new avenues demonstrated her courageous approach to life.
Eva found solace in the company of dolphins, finding joy in their graceful movements and playful interactions. Her love for the natural world extended to her fondness for Yellow Smoke, where she would often spend hours observing the wildlife in its natural habitat. It was these moments that Eva felt most at peace, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Beyond her love for nature, Eva's heart overflowed with adoration for her granddaughter. She cherished every moment spent with her, creating lasting memories that will be treasured.
Eva passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Unity Point Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 46 years, nine months and 22 days.
Eva was preceded in death by her mother, Serapia Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband, Charles Hunting of Schleswig; children: Crystal Casas (Kimberly Torres) of Schleswig, Kiiana Casas of Schleswig, Savanna (Luis) Varela of Amarillo, Texas, Amber (Santiago) Gomez of Schleswig, Elijah (Violet) Casas of Lubbock, Texas; two granddaughters: Avaline and Anaeliza; father, Leonard Rodriguez; siblings: Elvia (Joe) Gonzales of Plainview, Texas, Abraam Rodriguez of Texas, Leonard Rodriguez, Jr. of Plainview, Texas, Noel Rodriguez of Plainview, Texas, and Alvin Rodriguez of Tulia, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
