Frieda Anna Adams

Frieda Anna (Woebke) Adams was born on September 19, 1936, the daughter of William and Helen (Lehmann) in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized on July 20, 1941 and confirmed on December 3, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. She received her education from Denison schools.

 On May 9, 1955, she was united in marriage to Albert William Henry Adams, Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Denison and was blessed with three children: Barbara, David and Robert. Frieda ran an in-home daycare for 30 years. She enjoyed going out to eat and passing time with needle work. 

 Frieda passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 87 years, seven months and 13 days. 

 Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Adams; brothers: Herman, Willie, Albert, Marvin and Alvin; parents-in-law, Marie and Albert Adams; sisters-in-law: Marilyn Woebke, Joan Woebke, Bernice Woebke, Lorraine Woebke, Helen Woebke, Beverly Rhodes and Marilyn Petersen; brothers-in-law: Robert Klink, Dusty Rhodes, Melvin Ladwig, and John Poggensee; and daughter-in-law, Josette Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Mark) Havlik of Maryland; two sons: David Adams and Robert (Doreen) Adams all of Denison; four grandchildren: Nate (Jessi) Adams of Manilla, Ashley (Dustyn) Bengford of Vail, Zach (Tasha) Adams of Coon Rapids, and Kirsten (Andrew) Vary of Dow City; 12 great-grandchildren: Brayden, Trevan, Emma, Maxwell, Allison, Greyson, Bristol, Fraya, Brody, Ella, Paxton and Chloe; brother, Walt Woebke of Battle Creek; sisters: Helen Ladwig of Battle Creek, Alma Poggensee of Denison and Betty Klink of Westside; brother-in-law, Bernie Petersen of Schleswig; and many other relatives and friends.

Her visitation with the family greeting friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison with interment to follow in Crawford Heights Memory Gardens Cemetery also in Denison.
