Frieda L Schneider

Frieda Louise Lorenzen Schneider was born February 16, 1929, the daughter of Carl and Bertha Lorenzen. She passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa.
Frieda was born in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized March 24, 1929 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison by Rev. Freese and later confirmed there in 1943 by Rev. Schmidt. She received her education at the Zion Lutheran School through the 8th grade and graduated from the Denison High School on May 15, 1947. After completing her education Frieda worked at the Crawford County Trust and Savings Bank until her marriage to Vincent Schneider on March 21, 1954. The couple made their home on Vincent’s family farm in East Boyer Township and were blessed with the birth of four sons. In 1977, Frieda went back to work as a bookkeeper at Schneider Sales and Service. She moved to Heritage Heights in January 2005.
Frieda was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Denison. She enjoyed gardening and raising chickens, crocheting, embroidering, knitting baby blankets and stocking hats. In her leisure time she loved the challenge of word search puzzles, playing Bingo, Euchre and Pinocle at Heritage Heights, reading and watching game shows on television.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vincent in 2000; son Eugene 2011; one brother John; brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Dorothy; nieces Marjorie, Ann and Sharon. Survivors include: three sons: Terry Schneider; Dale and his wife, Kathy; Merle and his wife, Susan; six grandchildren, Josh, Jamie, David, Kristine, Lisa and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren, David, Brody, Mackenzie, Sara, Isiai, Kaiya and Abel; one sister-in-law, Ruby; many other relatives and friends.
