George Edward Davis, Jr. was born March 14, 1963, in Tilton, New Hampshire, the son of George Davis, Sr. and Lucille LaQuire Bacon. He passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of fifty-seven.
George received his education and graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School in 1983. After completing his education, he worked for some time in industry in the field of manufacturing aircraft parts and then in fast food service. George was an EMT and fire fighter while living in Tilton, New Hampshire. In March of 2011, George came to Crawford County, Iowa, and on October 28, 2011, he was united in marriage to Connie Riley.
Sports and fishing were his passions. George loved football, NASCAR, basketball and attending the races at Crawford County Raceway. He enjoyed fishing, ice fishing and deep sea fishing in Panama City. Making crafts was also a favorite activity as was his love for cooking. When he lived in New Hampshire, he went to events but after moving to Crawford County, it was watching events on television.
George was preceded in death by his father, George Davis, Sr. Survivors include: his wife, Connie Davis of Schleswig, Iowa; one daughter, Amanda Whitehead and her husband, Leroy of Midland City, Alabama; three grandchildren, Austen, Jeremy and Kaylynn Whitehead; his mother, Lucille Davis of Franklyn, New Hampshire; two sisters, Dorene Clough and her husband, Alva of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Patsy Lemaire of Tilton, New Hampshire; one niece, Alicia Lemaire; other relatives and friends.
