Glen Harold Miller, son of Harold and Dorothy (Carstensen) Miller was born on January 28, 1950 in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. He graduated from the Denison Public School with the Class of 1968.
After graduation, Glen was inducted in the United States Navy on November 17, 1970 where he served his country during the Vietnam War. In 1972, he was honorably discharged at the Naval Station in Long Beach, California. He was a longtime member of Denison V.F.W Post No. 2504.
In earlier years, he was employed at Ehrichs Motors and Bob Mathers as a mechanic. Later, he worked at Vetter's as a partsman for 25 years until his retirement in January of 2016. He loved working in his garage on cars with his friends, attending car shows and going out to eat. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR. Most of all, he cherished his family more than anything. He was member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison.
Glen passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, attaining the age of 72 years, 8 months, and 3 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Eugene Schaben.
He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey and her husband Nick Griffin of West Des Moines; two grandchildren: Henry and Finley Griffin of West Des Moines; sister, Janice and her husband Dave Stessman of Defiance; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Burial with Military Honors will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Denison.
