Harold H. Frehse

Harold Hugo Hans Frehse was born August 6, 1933, the son of Hugo and Elsie Frehse. He passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa, at the age of eighty-three.
He was baptized September 3, 1933, by Pastor Frese and confirmed March 21, 1948 by Pastor Schmidt both at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Harold graduated from Denison High School in 1952. He started working at the family business, Frehse Heating, at the young age of 14 and continued working there after graduation. The business subsequently changed to Frehse Manufacturing and it grew greatly. Harold was united in marriage to UnaBell Gloede on January 30, 1955, and they were blessed with the birth of three children: Jeff, Craig and Candace.
Harold was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison where he served as a trustee for twelve years and enjoyed many Bible classes and other church activities. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards and was a member of bowling teams and card clubs with friends. He particularly enjoyed seeing his family grow and watching the many activities of his children and grandchildren. Visiting with family and friends brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, six brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, two nephews, and four aunts and uncles. Survivors include: his wife, UnaBell; two sons, Jeff and his wife, Deb; and Craig and his wife, Tamie; one daughter, Candy and her husband, Tim; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Darlene; other relatives and friends.
