Harold LeRoy Muff, the son of Joseph and Rosemary Muff, was born February 26, 1959. He passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 56 years, 6 months, 25 days.
Harold was born and raised in the family farm house near Dow City, Iowa. He received his education in the Dow City Community Schools. While in high school, Harold was involved in a serious car accident, which left him in a coma for 108 days. Despite this accident, Harold graduated with his high school diploma. Upon graduation, Harold continued to work on the family farm with his dad and brothers.
Harold was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dow City. Harold was a very social person and looked forward to the annual Las Vegas trips with the Dow City group. He enjoyed going to the movies and especially liked comedies and action films. Harold liked to go out to eat with his family and friends. He enjoyed trips to the casino with this friend, Dave. He liked watching TV, especially game shows. Harold was always on his iPad. He enjoyed surfing the internet and keeping up on current events. As his health declined, Harold formed a special relationship with his nurse, Heather. Harold’s entire life revolved around his family and friends, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Harold will always be remembered for his quick wit and love of life. He always had a joke to tell and loved making people laugh.
Harold was preceded in death by his father Joseph; two nephews; one sister-in-law. Survivors include: his mother, Rosemary; five brothers: Joseph, Larry, Richard, Robert, Tom; four sisters: Marilyn, Janet, Barbara, Donna; and their spouses; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
