Helen M. Weinbrandt

October 28, 1933 — January 14, 2015

Helen Marie Weinbrandt was born October 28, 1933, the daughter of August and Ellen Namanny. She passed away January 14, 2015, at the Denison Care Center at the age of eighty-one.
Helen lived in Denison most of her life, and received her GED in 1974. On September 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Clayton Meyer, and the couple was blessed with four children: Clark, Marla, Lisha and Tammy.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always had a smile on her face and a shoulder to lean on. She loved sewing clothing for her children and grandchildren. Her love of sewing led to employment at Sullivan Supply in Dunlap where she was a seamstress specializing in show blankets for animals. She also sewed special occasion wear for proms and weddings. Helen was also employed at Casey’s General Store for 17 years where she made donuts. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Westside, Iowa and the Community of Christ Church in Denison, and attended services at the Denison Care Center.
Helen is preceded in death by: her parents; husbands; Milt and Alfred; one daughter, Marla; two brothers: Herb and Jim; and one sister, Lois . She is survived by: two daughters; Lisha and her husband, Richard; Tammy and her husband, Bill; one son, Clark; one sister, Bev; one son-in-law, Mike; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
