Homer A Saunders

Homer Allen Saunders was born October 7, 1933, the son of Wallace and Ermyle Turner Saunders. He died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa, at the age of eighty.
Homer received his education at rural country school. In his younger years, Homer enjoyed fishing at Swan Lake and the gravel pit. He also enjoyed tinkering, watching trains and inspecting mechanical things. In his leisure time Homer enjoyed listening to and watching Polka music on television, socializing with family and friends, especially Harold Frehse. He loved all animals especially dogs. He served on the Buck Grove Town Council.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred and Wallace Jr. He is survived by one sister, Beverly; his brother Wayne and his wife, Barb; a sister-in-law, Darlene; other relatives and friends.
