Ina Jean Ulmer

Ina Jean Ulmer was born January 27, 1924 the daughter of Frank and Jessie Marr. She died Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Denison Care Center at the age of ninety-one. Ina was born and raised in Arion Iowa. She received her elementary education in Arion , and then attended high school in Dow City. On August 9, 1945, Ina was united in marriage to Gene Ulmer. They made their home on a farm near Ute and were blessed the birth of four children.
Ina’s married life was spent as full time homemaker and mother. She was employed with Farmland Foods from 1960 until retiring in 1982. She was a proud and charming lady who enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and socializing with her friends over a cup of coffee. Ina’s favorite past time’s were going on walks, playing the piano, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a lifelong member of the Congregational Church in Arion, Iowa.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sharon; four brothers; William, Dale, Rex and Joey; four sisters: Vivian; Flo, Besse and Verna. Survivors include, two sons; Randy and his wife, Cindy, Garold and his wife, Betty; one daughter, Judy and her husband, Jim; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
