Jason Frideres

Jason Frideres was born May 14, 1974, the son of Arlo and Deborah Hansen Frideres. He passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at his home in Crystal Lake, Illinois, at the age of thirty-six.
Jason was born in Algona, Iowa. He graduated from Denison High School in Denison, Iowa, with the class of 1992. He attended Northwest Missouri State University and then graduated in 2008 from Des Moines Area Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science. He was working as a funeral director at Davenport Family Funeral Home in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Jason was an exceptional and compassionate funeral director and will be sorely missed.
He was a diehard Iowa State University Cyclones fan and attended most home games. Jason always brightened a room with his gregarious smile and positive attitude. He enjoyed summer visits at Lake Okoboji with his friends, Brendan and his wife, Jenny and children. It was his favorite getaway location!
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah; maternal grandfather, Lewis Hansen; paternal grandmother, Fidelis Frideres; and aunt, Vicki Pojar. Survivors include his beloved father, Arlo; loving siblings which include two brothers: Chadd and his wife, Gwen; Matthew and his wife, Taryn; and one sister, Amy and her husband, Brandon; his paternal grandfather, Clarence Frideres; his maternal grandmother, Viola Hansen; nephews, Austin and Owen; nieces, Allyssa and Lilly; aunts and uncles: Andrea and Jerry; Bob; Nancy; Betty and John; Richard and Dean and Linda; cousins and close friends.
